On September 30, 2014, after retiring from the job I had been with for a long time, I took a moment to pause and prepare for a new challenge.
At that time, I worked as a social worker for one year at Saesaengmyeong Village, located in Beopseong-myeon, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do.
This place operates both a local children’s center and a group home, and spending time with children who each carried their own stories and emotions—laughing and crying together—left a deep impression on my life.
That year, in which I relearned responsibility, care, and the warmth of human connection, strengthened my perspective on the world and fortified my inner self as an instructor.
The experience I gained there will always remain a warm core throughout my journey ahead.
