Three Weeks of Taekwondo in Omsk, Russia
In 2022, Grandmaster Kim stayed in Omsk, Russia for approximately three weeks, providing Taekwondo instruction and technical guidance at two local clubs for students of various age groups.
The classes covered a wide range of content, including basic movements, Poomsae, self-defense, and foundational sparring techniques. His structured teaching reached children, teenagers, and adult practitioners alike, offering tailored guidance for each group.
During this time, Grandmaster Kim also participated in the "S.I. Manyakin Taekwondo Poomsae Championship," officially supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Irkutsk. The event was highlighted by the presence of the Consul General and a traditional Korean cultural performance, leaving a lasting impression.
The championship served as a meaningful platform for cultural exchange between Korea and Russia. Grandmaster Kim also engaged in valuable dialogue with local Taekwondo instructors regarding educational direction and development potential.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes more than just technical instruction—it focuses on character building, discipline, and responsibility through Taekwondo. The Omsk visit became a sincere opportunity to share this spirit with the local students.
