Steps Toward Dispatch, Halted by War

Kimsabu’s 3-Week Taekwondo Engagement in Omsk, Russia (2022)

In 2022, Kimsabu spent approximately three weeks in Omsk, Russia, where he conducted Taekwondo instruction and technical training at two local clubs, reaching students across a wide range of age groups.

The classes covered a comprehensive curriculum—including basic movements, Poomsae, self-defense techniques, and foundational Gyeorugi (sparring) skills.
Children, teenagers, and adults all received systematic training tailored to their levels and needs.

During this period, Kimsabu also attended the S.I. Manyakin Taekwondo Poomsae Competition, which was officially supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Irkutsk.
The event was highlighted by the presence of the Consul General and featured a traditional Korean cultural performance, leaving a lasting impression on the local community.

The tournament became a meaningful platform for cultural exchange between Korea and Russia.
Kimsabu engaged in dialogue with local Taekwondo leaders to discuss educational direction and the potential for future development in the region.

His teaching philosophy goes beyond mere transmission of technique—emphasizing character, discipline, and responsibility through Taekwondo.
His time in Omsk served as a valuable opportunity to share that spirit sincerely with the students he met.
